The microarchaeology study gallery and class is located in the main building of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. It functions as a teaching class for courses and seminars in archaeomaterials science and microarchaeology, as a microscope laboratory for students and staff of the Track in Archaeomaterials Science and Conversation, and as the study gallery for guest students and researchers. The gallery houses ten student and two research petrographic microscopes, six stereomicroscopes, one incident-light metallographic microscope and one darkfield/brightfield, Rheinberg, and Dispersion Staining microscope. The gallery also holds a library of literature relevant to archaeomaterials research and the Thin-Section Collection.
