Francisco Céntola completed his undergraduate studies in History at the Catholic University of Argentina (Buenos Aires), and is currently in the second year of the Erasmus Mundus Master in Archaeological Materials Science (ARCHMAT), a joint program offered by the University of Évora (Portugal), the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and the University of Rome “La Sapienza” (Italy).
During his internship at the Laboratory for Microarchaeology, his research will be focused on the petrographic features of a group of cuneiform tablets found at Boğazköy/Hattuša. The aim of this project is to combine textual, archaeological and petrographic/chemical information in order to get a better understanding of the materiality and the historical implications of the documents under examination.
